Lil Miss Navajo Nation

This is me at 4 or 5 with my grandma in my traditional dress made by my mom.

Twenty six years later, my daughter Lakeila at 5,
in her traditioal outfit made by my mom.

It was deja vu for my mom having to dress her grandbaby this time. Lakeila was such a good sport because it was freezing at the Window Rock.

Four Corners Visit

For those of you curious of what the Navajo reservation looks like, here are a few shots.
On our way to see family out in Aneth, Utah
on top of a mesa after a long bumpy dirt road drive :)
As we were leaving family in Aneth, UT we snapped a pic of the
sheep being herded by the dogs.

This is Shiprock, New Mexico

Behind this handsome man, is the Sleeping Ute Mtn,
in Towaoc, Colorado

Here is my grandma and grandpa along with my mom and my daughters.
And no, we do not live in teepees and wear feathers and moccasins on a daily basis :)

Christmas Cheer

Boy, was it a busy month for us. Not only did we fly back to Arizona for vacation, but as soon as we got back I had two Christmas card classes to host that week. One for the Military Spouse Support Group who loved me so much they wanted me to come back and do Christmas cards. Well, I guess it was the card making they loved, but I had no objections. The other class was at my church for a Women's ministry gathering. It was an eventful week and as usual everyone had a great time.

Veteran's Day Cards

I'm part of a military spouse support group at Norfolk Baptist Church and they asked me to be the host in October. So what better time and place than to make Veteran's Day cards? I used the Courage stamp in the top card and for the bottom the Hero jumbo wheel.

Mya's Elmo Cake

I've slacked on the posting the past couple of month, but I'm back and hope to get you caught up on the latest.

My baby girl's 2nd birthday suddenly snuck up on me. I had about a week to plan. It wasn't too hard since she absolutely loves Elmo. It was a great time and the house was jam packed. It was especially cute to see my social butterfly so shy as everyone sang her happy birthday.
